The IOPoint-PL module provides a quick easy way to embed reliable power
line communications in your product or project. You provide power
(5V regulated and unregulated 10.8V - 16V), a simple coupling circuit, and use
one of the Ready-Made
applications or write your own. Buy an IOPoint-PL with an IOPoint-EVB
and you will have a complete power line communications device ready to
program and run.
The IOPoint-PL features an Echelon PL3120-E4T10 Smart Transceiver.
This tiny chip embeds reliable DSP based power line communications,
4K of EEPROM for application and configuration data, 24K of firmware ROM,
12 configurable digital I/Os, and the LonWorks EIA709 network protocol stack.
